About this engagement

Interior Health is seeking to refine overdose services in Kelowna to reduce the likelihood of overdose, in particular amongst individuals who use drugs alone in private residences. This engagement will allow Interior Health to refine services available by incorporating a lived-experience perspective and ultimately reduce the risk of overdose and overdose fatalities.

We also want to raise awareness of the risk to using drugs alone and let people know about Interior Health’s harm reduction services available to support safer use. Our engagement goal is to learn from people who use drugs, and those who support them, about the potential tools, supports or other activities that would minimize the harm and likelihood of death from overdose when using drugs alone.
